DHARAMSHALA CAR RENTAL
Dharamshala is a small hill-station situated in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. Dharamsala literally means an "inn attached to a temple" . The most fertile and undulating valley surrounded by hills on three sides and a valley in the front is the beautiful hill station of Dharamshala. Lying between the gentle Shivalik Hills and the foothills of the mighty Dhauldhar with lush terraces, wooded hills, manicured tea gardens and sparkling streams. The town is divided into two distinct areas that are Dharamsala itself or Lower Dharamsala, a typical small Indian town , and Upper Dharamsala, known more commonly as McLeod Ganj, named after David McLeod, once the British Lieutenant Governor of Punjab. This is home to the Tibetan community and the center of tourist activity. Lower Dharamshala is at an altitude of 4500 ft whereas upper Dharamshala called McLeod Ganj is at almost at an altitude of 8000 ft. road. It is the nearest hill station for Punjab. Climate of Dharamsala is very congenial . It is very cold in winter as Dhauladar range of hills at over 15000ft is close by and is covered with thick snow during winter. It does not snow in lower Dharamsala but the chilly wind from Dhauladar range makes it very cold. In summer the temperature sometimes reach 35deg C.

Dharamsala is the home of the Buddhist spiritual head, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and the Tibetan government in exile. Dharamsala is surrounded by beautiful lush green pine trees all around which offers plentiful of oxygen to breath. It is because of this reason that despite of merge medical facilities available from Government Hospital, people have long life.

Today this little Lhasa of India has more of Tibetan population and the Tibetan culture dominates the town, but still the town has retained its colonial and British flavour. Dharamshala Car Rentals.
