DALHOUSIE CAR RENTAL
Dalhousie is a hill station which is increasingly becoming popular among home and foreign tourists. Nestled on the spur at the western end of Dhauladhar, Dalhousie in its present shape was founded in 1850’s by a british governer general lord Dalhousie , when the British acquired five hills from the ruler of the Chamba State for developing the area as a sanatorium. The gateway to the Chamba Valley, Dalhousie offers a panoramic view, from certain places one can come across the stupendous view of the confluence of the three Rivers; Ravi, Chenab and Beas. This is the place that slowly joins in the Kashmir valley. Since the estate was founded in the time of Lord Dalhousie the sanatorium was recommended to be called “Dalhousie” by Sir Donald McLeod.

The views are spectacular to the north; range upon range of hills culminating in the snow of the Pir Panjal mountains of Kashmir and to the south the plains of Punjab. The town spreads around five hills – Kathlog, Portreyn, Tehra, Bakrota, and Balun – and is clothed extensively in stately groves of deodar and oak. Its two busy points, Gandhi Chowk and Subhash Chowk, are connected by the Mall which is actually two roads intertwined like the figure of eight. Dalhousie Car Rentals.
